The Usual Flow of the Roulette Game

This is how the roulette games are normally played in the casinos. Players must first buy in for chips from the dealer at the roulette table. The purchased chips will be assigned with specific values that are within the range of the roulette table's minimum and maximum limits.

Players will then place their bets on the table layout that corresponds to their prediction of where the ball will stop after the spin. There are several betting selections in roulette that player can make like odd/even, color, one number, two numbers, and clusters of numbers.

In playing roulette, players need to meet the minimum limit of the table they are playing at. For example, if players are at a roulette table that has a one dollar minimum, then playing with 25-cent chips will require them to place at the least four chips on the table to make the total of their bet to a dollar.

There are roulette tables that separate the minimum limit of the outside bets from the inside bets. And players will not be allowed to split the minimum limit between the two betting areas of roulette. If both inside and outside betting areas have one dollar minimum, then players will have to place a total of one-dollar bet for each betting area in the roulette table. Therefore, players will have to play at least two dollars if they want to place their bets in both betting areas.

Once all the bets are place on the table, the dealer will now start to spin the roulette wheel and then an ivory marble will be dropped onto the spinning wheel in the opposite direction. Players are only allowed to place their bets from the time that the marker is lifted from the roulette table to the time that the dealer waves his hand and says the phrase 'No more bets'.

As the roulette wheel slows down its spin, the ivory marble will fall into one of the pockets on the wheel. And the pocket where the ivory marble stops is the winning number of the current game and the dealer will place a marker on top of that number on the roulette table. The dealer will then take all the losing bets and the winning bets will be paid accordingly. After all the winning bets are paid, the marker will be removed and a new game of roulette is now ready to start.
